Abstract

In observing today's society، one aspect that may bring a sense of satisfaction is the outward expression of Islamic identity. This is evident in the way many individuals adhere to the Islamic dress code، such as the hijab and other visible markers of faith. However، upon closer examination، a concerning disconnect can be observed between these external expressions and the deeper internalization of Islamic values. This is reflected in behaviors، communication styles، the content of ideas shared on social media، and the styles of interpersonal relationships. In many instances، the patterns of actions often do not align with the ethical and moral teachings of Islam. Nevertheless، much has been focused on addressing the extent to which emphasis is placed on religious symbols and appearances than

understanding and internalization of Islamic principles and values. This paper discusses the extent to which emphasis is given on the element of spirituality in education process by substantiating it with values-based content in the effort to enable individuals in attaining psychological wellness. The findings are expected to shed light on the extent to which values-based education، rooted in the essentialization of spirituality، has been included in education process. It may contribute to promoting more authentic psychological wellness among learners and the broader community. These insights are important as they may inform the development of more
