Abstract:
The Middle Ages marked a period of political and intellectual transformation in the Islamic world. It was characterized by the expansion of the Islamic state and the formation of local political entities with a distinct religious and intellectual character. Among these states was the Rustamid dynasty، the first state with an Ibadi orientation in North Africa. Since its inception، it maintained multiple relations with the Islamic East، particularly the Abbasid Caliphate. Hostility prevailed، despite periods of truce. The cultural aspect emerged through the migration of scholars and the establishment of learning circles in Tiaret.
