Dear Hussain،

Thank you for your letter and the enclosure. I am not quite sure about your reference to a cable I had sent Karim and the subject of your discussions. Karim did not mention to me about it. Therefore I am rather puzzled to know which of the proposals you mean. Of course I will take your word for what ever concerns you but your association with Nasr has made the matter look more cre- dulous.I don't have to tell you in which camp Nasr bin Humud is. In any case you don't owe anyone an explanation and rumours are diffi- cult to stop. If I remember rightly، you always were trying to go to Muscat if you were provided with certain guaranties for your safety and freedom. If this proposal seems to you genuine enough why don't you use the opportunity? I cannot give an opinion as to the sincerity of such a proposal and therefore I did not reply to Asim about it.
