رسالة د. كهلان الخروصي
الجزء ١ · صفحة ٤٢1. Ib~‡‚s among all early Muslim theological schools were the most concerned of condemning and refuting in writings the violent approach and extremist views of the Khaw~rij. They have rich literature of epistles، letters، treatises and debates with Az~riqa، Najdiyya، and also other groups such as Qadariyya، Murji|a،..etc.(1) The question of the attitude towards opponents always tops the list of their arguments. In short، 'Ib~‡‚s' as Ennami describes،' never broke this principle; they never killed women or children of their opponents or killed the injured or followed a routed enemy of them، nor did they take their property for spoils'.(2)
2. Ib~‡‚s do not limit the labelling of mun~fiqƒn، kuff~r ni`ma to non-Ib~‡‚s. They also use them for committers of great sins and for unjust rulers of their own(3) in the same way other schools call them fuss~q (pl. of f~siq، corrupt) and ahl al-kab~|ir (committers of great sins). This means that the disagreement between Ib~‡‚s and Sunn‚s on this matter is a mere linguistic debate.(4)
