رسالة د. كهلان الخروصي
الجزء ١ · صفحة ٧… This Egyptian copy (referred to hereafter as E) is in very bad condition and hardly legible in very many places. It is in a very small Maghrib‚ hand with 163 folios،(1) each consisting of an average of 41 lines with approximately 40 words in each line. The size of each page is about 20.00 x 28.00 cm. The name of the scribe appears a few times at various places in the whole manuscript: he is Abƒ Zayd b. `Abd al-Raˆm~n b. `Umar b. Muˆammad b. `Umar b. Ism~`‚l al-Zaww~r‚، a name which is totally unknown to me. He might be from Zaww~ra in Mz~b.(2)
(1) The numbering of the folios appears to have been done by D~r al-Kutub al-Mi‰riyya، and I kept it as it is except that I divided each folio into two pages by adding the number i، ii after each folio’s number.
(2) It first appears at f.36 then ff.43،103،126 but the explicit expression of him as a copyist occurs at f. 144،149.
