Sheikh Khalfan bin Jmail Al-Siabi، the author of Kitab Fosoul Al- Ausoul، is one of the leaders of Islamic thought، who contributed alot with their intellectual literature. This author has faced many difficulties in a complex era regarding the cultural، economical، and political circumstances، which never put off his determination towards seeking after knowledge، but on the contrary he carried on، and worked very hard until he reached his aims، where he was a reference for legal opinion، and he became a famous scientist. Being payed gratitude for his knowledge and position، he was appointed the position of the head judge in several states in Oman. Many students have made great benefit from the experience of this author، who became (i.e. the students) highly appreciated in their community. He left behind a useful literature regarding Islamic law، and one of which is his book Fosoul Al-Ausoul، which is an abridged book in jurisprudence rules in terms it is abridged in dealing with proofs and discussion. The author abridged in dealing with Islamic schools evidences and previous statements، where he is usually convinced by one or two evidences. The same is found concerning the discussion، where it is rarely mentioned. But as for revealing jurisprudence issues، it is comprehensive to what jurisprudence rulers deal with in their books. The reason behind the book being abridged may be due to the poor
