Such an approach can be realized by embedding the teaching of values into the educational process، ensuring that these values are embodied and aligned with the higher objectives of Islamic teachings (Al-Attas، 1991; Hashim & Langgulung، 2008). It is thus pertinent for the education system to essentialize spirituality as a means to foster psychological wellness. This can be achieved through values-based education، where the ultimate goal extends beyond employability to the cultivation of holistic individuals with enhanced psychological wellness، strong character formation، and a commitment to social harmony (Nasr، 2001; Sahin، 2018). Accordingly، the purpose of this paper is to examine the extent to which spirituality is emphasized in the educational process by integrating it with values-based content، thereby enabling individuals to attain psychological wellness.

The findings are expected to shed light on how values- based education are rooted in the essentialization of spirituality. It is also expected to contribute to promoting more authentic psychological wellness among learners and the broader community. The idea shared in this paper may inform the development of more holistic educational models that bridge the gap between external religiosity and internalized spirituality، ultimately contributing to enhanced psychological wellness، character formation، and social harmony.
